Northampton beat Bath 25-21 in a great Twickenham final. Beno Obano was sent off in the first half and Johan van Graan’s side did brilliantly to recover but it wasn’t to be. As for the Saints it’s their first title since 2014!

£800 million!? Nations Championship finals heading to Qatar…?

Qatar are reportedly in conversations with Six Nations and Sanzaar to host the finals of the Nations Championship in an £800 million deal! A huge sum of money which could be vital for the sport but a deal which would come with loads of controversy. I try and give a balanced view of the arguments for and against.

Theres no confusion on fly half mate its jack crowley byrne is not up to it.
It has been 8 years since Ireland toured South Africa, they did get a win at Cape Town on that tour, ultimately going down 2-1 in the series, since then the Boks have been playing away games, we look forward to this tour as it's been a long time coming, good luck to all and may there be zero injuries, Go Bokke 🎉
What about France vs Argentina
More like winter tours
Great video
New Zealand All Blacks & Maori All Blacks Beware they have up the tempo with there new coaches & Mighty players to rise
Kiwi here. Good review, straight forward.
Half backs are going to have a good time with the size of that pack especially cortez and once roigard comes back geez
All Blacks in a very difficult situation which I don't understand you didn't mentioned. The AB'S haven't play together as a team since the RWC, 6/7 months ago, lots of new players, a new coach and they have ONLY two weeks to get ready. Not even a test match before England for the team to gel together. Not even an exibition game to ...
The majority of the team is still comprised of the RWC squad, and even those ABs that didn't make the 2023 squad still have experience playing with the others. On top of that a lot of the uncapped players are fortunately from positions where they play with the pre-existing ABs at club level. So yes, while they haven't had a chance to gel together, it's not as dire as you're making it out to be.
Can't see Ireland beating SA especially now our clubs have not being firing this year especially leinster and munster backbone of Ireland
McKenzie will be marked and the English know that he's Vulnerable
The Boks are World Champions for a reason
Thanks for your content really enjoy it Alfred
Scotland like Italy are on the ascent
oof...im afraid its going to be 3/0 to the sh (oh and scotland will win as well)
Wales and England to win...
I highly doubt england will win. They'll lose both, first one by 50 and second more like by 30
I'm never wrong
@@robertwood6297good luck with that
Wales might, England, not so much
If only Ben Earl had played & had more experience, skillset at playing at 12 - & keep him there- in order to have Cunningham-South , Underhill & Tom Curry all playing on the field at the same time from the start 🤞🤔
NZs potential bomb squad for the future some scary power could be coming off the bench 16. Taukeaho (120kg) 17. Toosi (140kg) 18. Williams (140kg) 19. Tuipolotu (120kg) 20. Finau. (115kg) 21. Sititi (115kg)
Given Glasgow's success and Scotland looking on the up, it's a bit of a shame they don't have a series in Australia or Argentina for example. Could have been a good time to do something historic
Don't write off Warren's Wales... Even with how things look I fancy them to get a win down under. From an Irish man who has learned not to doubt Garland over the years
The AB's have some crazy talented backline players, and some brilliant options in the forwards, will be interesting to see what game plan Robertson employs and whether it will be similar to what made the Crusaders under him one of the best club rugby teams of all time
Best performance since 2019 semi? Dont forget we won the six nations and autumn nations cup in 2020. Ireland and Wales at home in 2020 were much more comprihensive wins. Then 2021 hit, we had a covid effected campaign. Then we introduced Freddie Steward who completely killed our attack and we stunk the place out ever since. Until coincidentally we looked way better in back end of 2024 six nations when we dropped him
nah he is right even though England won everything in 2020, they were miles away from their performance in WC 2019. While I would not go as far as calling England wins that year fraudulent (unlike Wales in 2021 lol), it wasn't as decisive as the previous years thats for sure since they barely won both titles vs. France.
ABs finally have a talismanic man manager who has surrounded himself with exceptional coaches. The ABs are about to go on an absolute tear. And England are first on the chopping block. The boys were poor last year but still only lost the WC by a point. Boks still the benchmark followed by France then ABs.
Boks won by 1 point against 14 men and have been absolutely dominated by nz in the pro Era at club and test level. France look totally dependent on dupont and have never sustained a competitive team for long periods
@@NiahTunui Abdolute tear confirmed 😆
I think that is what people in nz are expecting and I feel it too. Absolute demolition coming up. Only going to get better when roigard and will jordan are back
No question on 10 for Ireland. It will be Jack Crowley and while JGP is a huge loss having Crowley and Casey playing together is not a bad shout considering how well they know each other from Munster.
Good day Alfred , it's Riaan from South Africa! Love your knowledge about all the teams and players!! You are very well spoken! Carry on the awesome work!!!
First comment 👍 Cheers from Durban, South Africa
Good video and good team you picked. Some of the blues/chiefs players may get a rest first week depending on how banged up they are ie i doubt they’ll risk Patrick Tuipolotus dodgy knee on Forsyth Barr’s hard pitch. Conversely players from the hurricanes, crusaders and De Groot(only Highlander) will likely play more minutes early on so we could see them select the likes of Blackadder over Dalton, Williams over ofa and TJP will probably start. The team for each Eng test will likely be different allowing for those factors and they’ll probably save the bulk of the debutants for the Fiji game. Aumua and Ratima would be my picks as guys to watch out for in the Eng series.
I think Allblacks are not ready just now no games, they could struggle I’ve got my hopes fingers and toes crossed for A 1 points win to my beloved Allblacks ❤️👍😎
What happens if the All Blacks struggle to win? Will the Kiwi public handle it well, or throw the same horrid treatment towards Robertson as they did to Foster?
Dmac 10 for the first 40. Could play 15 in the second depending on the score line.
Scooter will have to learn discipline very quickly! Too many Red & Yellow cards for a captain.
You must be jealous of your mate Tim, he’s having a ball. Gonna come back 20kg’s heavier! 😂
The players was not getting on well the manger I heard
I admire Rassie on what he does but we shouldn't really be putting our best players out there injuries are now very common on our older players giving the newer ones a chance to grow in test rugby is key a player physical well-being doesn't stay the same with time hopefully Rassie can understand that perspective ❤
I am leicester born and bred. shocked at mckellar leaving. basically we wrote off the last season and were hoping more for next season with a more settled coaching team. Cheika has potential however the sinical part of my brain is wondering whether this was the boards plan all along seeing as there were rumours of talks with Cheika before the appointment of Mckellar...
So they got rid of McKeller cos he couldn’t fix things in a year…..and appointed the Jose Mourinho, one year specialist Chieka 😂😂 Good luck Leicester fans, you’re going to need it.
It is a potentially great signing that Tigers couldn't miss out on. It could work really well. However, it doesn't feel long term (2 years, maybe) and, given his big personality, could lead to a lot of clashes!
Sounds like he must have done something unacceptable? Doesn't make sense for them to confirm him and then less than 2 weeks later, drop him. Must've been some serious disagreement. Unless, as you say, they might have dropped him as soon as Cheika became available... that would be rather poor form. Like what happened to Rennie when Eddie Jones became available. Look how that turned out.
From this side (SA), it was only reported yesterday that Pollard was playing under him at Leicester Tigers. Wasn't aware Cheika was only appointed yesterday. Cheika's had an eventful life.
I feel like the Boks are very eager to smash Ireland “fok them up”as Rassie says 😂 Sascha must play great utility back option 👌
Ardy will play 7 I think, sotutu was a bit unlucky, great ball carrier, and like Akira Ioane not so good without the ball. I think we will lose at least one test to England this year. McKenzie will play ten I think, beauden cover for 10 and 15. Tuipiloto for 5, Blackadder 6 Narawa 14 sotutu 11 perofeta 15
Obviously we shouldn't read too into things, but if it is how it looks from my perspective, and McKellar was pushed out after just one season, it's quite disrespectful from the tiger higher ups. I know their season was bad, but it really feels like the people in charge just did not know what they were doing after borthwick left and are happy to make McKellar a scapegoat for the whole affair. He wasn't really given the resources to succeed. You'd maybe expect this from football but it's quite rare in rugby and a bi of a shame to see.
Bro your all clean and tidy, i hope you didn't listen to all those boomers telling you to clean up.
Franco Smith must be very happy with his Scottish team
Mate you should be in South Africa with Tim to cover the Ireland series and experience our rugby culture 😅
Mate would love to! Very jealous of Tim, what a trip. Hopefully another time.
I think the first test is going to be handre and sasca on the bench. The next game if it went well Mannie will be starting
The biggest issue with Mngomezulu is foreign pundits tripping themselves up over the pronunciation of his name and doing themselves an injury 😂😂😂
